cultural journey: the peranakans

IRCC organised the above learning journey for IRCC members and representatives from Religious Organisations on Sat, 13 Aug16. Participants were given a guided tour of the Peranakan Museum and The Intan where the historic origins, royal heirlooms and cultural memorabilia of the Peranakan community were showcased.
28 members from the various IRCCs attended this interesting Peranakan Cultural Tour. The Tour Guide at the Peranakan Museum was Ms Magdalene Tan who is very experienced. She conducted a very enjoyable and interesting tour of the Peranakan Museum. The Intan Museum was conducted by its owner, Mr Alvin Yapp.
