MCCY organised the EC GRC and Fengshan IRCC Appointment ceremony at Metta School this morning. The GOH was Mayor Dr Maliki and Advisor Jessica Tan. This is the first time the IRCC Appointment ceremony was conducted at the GRC level. Dr Maliki explained to the participants that the IRCC plays an important role in maintaining racial harmony in our country. Our IRCC leaders need to build trust within the community so that in time of crisis, they can play a crucial role in stabilising the situation and ensure normality is restored expeditiously. We need to learn how social media works and to be able to counter fake news before it goes viral and cause racial unrest in our multicultural and multi racial country. Each constituency deliberated and shared their work plans at the event.
