Siglap IRCC 4th interfaith dialogue & networking fruit fiesta

More than 100 participants attended Siglap IRCC’s Interfaith Dialogue & Networking Fruit Fiesta today at Amazing Grace Presbyterian Church (AGPC). The church’s choir gave a special presentation to kick off the dialogue. Advisor Dr Maliki was accompanied by his wife and son and he shared on why it was important for our community to live harmoniously together as one people. There should be no “buts” about it. He also talked about the CSCS series of talks initiated by South East CDC whereby the next one will be held at SED on 18 Aug. Siglap IRCC will participate in this talk and we will finalise details with SE CDC.
Our special speaker Habib Hassan shared his immense knowledge with the audience and he related that the Muslim and Christian have been living harmoniously together for centuries. He related amongst other things how the oldest church is located in Jerusalem and the key to the church has been in the custody of a Muslim family for a 1,000 years. This shows how both the Christian and Muslim religions have lived in harmony for centuries. There was a robust Q&A after the talk followed by a durian feast. All the participants enjoyed themselves very much indeed and we wish to thank AGPC for their kindness in providing the venue and sponsorship for the event.
