third Interfaith Dialogue & networking fruit fiesta

About 100 Siglap IRCC grassroot leaders and our religious partners attended our 3rd annual interfaith dialogue and networking session at Amazing Grace Presbyterian Church this afternoon. Speakers from the Taoist, Islam and Buddhist faith shared their perspectives on "Funeral Rites". The speakers were Master Wei Yi, Ustaz Maaz and Venerable Dr Guna. The Q&A session was enthralling as many participants sought explanations fromthe religious leaders on their various faith.
The GOH was our Advisor SMS Dr Maliki Osman and he explained how crucial it was to maintain racial harmony in our country. He added that it was appropriate that we are holding this interfaith dialogue during racial harmony week. Dr Maliki stressed on the importance for all of us to be vigilant at all times to ensure the safety of our citizens. This was in light of the collapse of ISIS in Iraq and their quest to set up a second caliphate in our region. He shared on the recent fighting at Mindanao, Philippines and the threat of returning ISIS fighters to Indonesia and Malaysia.
After the talk, all the participants were treated to a sumptuous fruit fiesta. They had a good time talking and networking with other.
