date: friday, 29 jan 16 | time: 7.30 pm - 9.30 pm
Veneu: The Arts House (Chamber), 1 Old Parliament Lane
The Inter-Racial & Religious Confidence Circles (IRCCs) have made great effort in fostering social cohesion, especially in building networks of trust among religious and community leaders.
The recent spate of terrorist incidents overseas further underscore the important role IRCC leaders play in providing assurance to the communities and standing together in solidarity. To update the IRCCs in the changing security climate, MCCY invited members to the IRCC Engagement Session 2016.
The programme for the session included presentations on “The Threat of Terrorist Ideology” by Ministry of Home Affairs, overview of IRCCs’ Key Focus in 2016 and Q&A session. Participants shared ground sentiments in light of current security climate and provided feedback on possible responses to minimise tensions and uphold social harmony in the event of an incident.
