Siglap IRCC's inaugural "Walk with Faith" is a series of trails organised with the objective of fostering interfaith understanding among the Siglap community. Eighty four participants of various races and religions including residents, representatives from Al-Taqua Mosque and Chee Hoon Kog Promotion Moral Society, etc. visited Fo Shan Ting Da Bo Gong Temple (Pulau Ubin) and Sree Ramar Temple (Changi Village). The programme started with breakfast at Supper CLUB 89.7 (27 Changi Village Road Singapore 509925) followed by a ferry ride to Pulau Ubin where the brisk walk commenced. Participants proceeded to Fo Shan Ting Da Bo Gong Temple, Butterfly garden and Spice Garden and returned to Changi Village whereby they continued their journey to Sree Ramar Temple for a guided tour by the temple staff and volunteers. This outreach event highlighted IRCC’s objective of forging deeper interfaith understanding and communal harmony through the visits to places of worships. This outreach event was organised successfully with our SCEC partner. A Channel News Asia crew also joined in the outreach event and they interviewed several of the residents who participated in the walk.
