ECGRC advisors came to officially send off their Malay residents who were embarking on their Haj pilgrimage to Mecca. This is a yearly event and it was held at the new Heartbeat@Bedok which is one of the largest integrated complexes in Singapore. The complex provides a lifestyle hub for families and friends spending their time together under one roof.
This year, more places were allocated / made available for Singaporeans who wish to perform their haj pilgrimage. The residents were advised to take every precaution to ensure their personal safety as the current temperature at Mecca is at 66 degrees celcius. Advisor Dr Maliki assured the haj bound residents not to worry about their loved ones back home in Singapore as they will be looked after by their grassroot leaders.
