racial & religious harmony: the past, present & future
date: saturday, 27 September; time: 5.30 pm - 9.30 pm
venue: gardens by the bay
The Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY) organised the above event to pay tribute to members of the Pioneer Generation (PG) for their contributions towards racial and religious harmony over the last 50 years. Their invaluable contributions have helped our nation to achieve the current state of harmony and also strengthen the social fabric of our young multi-racial and multi-religious nation.
The event titled “Racial & Religious Harmony: The Past, Present & Future”, sought to remember the good work that our pioneers have done, as well as to bring together the younger generation of leaders to appreciate our pioneers and take over the baton of bringing our nation forward the next 50 years.
The Guest-of-Honour for the event was Mr Lawrence Wong, Minister for Culture, Community and Youth. More than 500 people attended this event at Gardens by The Bay.
